An operating system is software that acts as an interface. Its job is to connect the user and the computer hardware, It makes it easy to manage computer hardware, So that the user can use the hardware easily, the operating system prevents one program from interfering with another.
You can see the structure in the figure above which shows the operating system in the middle part. The hardware is shown below them. These include inputs and output devices, ram and ROM
At the top of the hardware device is the software
The operating system runs entirely on hardware. And that software provides support
Most computers have 2 modes : kernel modes and user modes
Kernal is a Heart of Oprating System.
